Lace Lithography, headquartered in Bergen, is developing a groundbreaking lithography technology that could revolutionize the production of microchips. The company\u2019s technology uses metastable helium atoms instead of light, enabling significantly higher precision, substantially lower energy consumption, and reduced production costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Microchips are critical for both the green transition and digital development, but their production is currently highly energy-intensive. Lace Lithography\u2019s technology can contribute to major reductions in energy use, both in manufacturing and through more energy-efficient chips that lower energy consumption in data centers and digital systems globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strong investor consortium<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The investment is made alongside a strong international investor consortium led by Atomico. Other investors include Microsoft\u2019s venture arm M12, as well as existing investors such as Future Ventures, Vsquared Ventures, and Runa Capital.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n
