Promoting Industrial Decarbonization<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heaten has developed a heat pump technology that both helps convert waste heat from being a waste product into a positive energy resource and ensures that fossil-fueled heat supply is replaced. Currently, a very large proportion of heat production in industry is based on fossil energy. Heaten’s technology contributes to the electrification of heat supply for heavy industrial sectors globally and has enormous potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in parts of the industrial sector where there are few good alternatives. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA)<\/a>, heat is the largest end-use of energy, accounting for approximately 50% of total global energy consumption. Half of this heat is then used in industrial processes where fossil fuels dominate as the energy source for heating. Electrification using heat pump technology will provide more efficient and climate-friendly heat production.
