Our mission<\/h1>\n

Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions is at the core of Nysn\u00f8\u2019s mission. We contribute to the commercial success of growth companies by providing risk capital to businesses that reduce emissions while also generating lasting positive effects for the society.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n

Investment Criterias<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Nysn\u00f8 seeks companies with strong and ambitious management, a clear growth strategy, and a well-defined plan to develop climate-friendly technologies and solutions. In assessing potential investments, Nysn\u00f8 emphasize:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Return potential<\/strong> \u2013 Nysn\u00f8 aims to make investments with the highest possible expected market-based, risk-adjusted return over time within sustainable frameworks.

  • Ownership structure<\/strong> \u2013 Nysn\u00f8 always invests alongside private investors on equal terms (\u201cpari passu\u201d). Nysn\u00f8 is a minority shareholder, and private investors must own at least 51 percent of the companies and funds in which Nysn\u00f8 invests.

    Investment Universe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Nysn\u00f8 aims to be a long-term and patient capital provider for sustainable transition. The climate challenge is global and requires solutions that can scale across markets. The largest emissions come from sectors such as industry, transport, buildings, agriculture, and land use. We invest in technologies and companies that can drive transformation in these sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If we succeed, we will create competitive companies, generate financial returns, and achieve significant reductions in global greenhouse gas emissions.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

    Our History<\/h2>\n

    Nysn\u00f8 Klimainvesteringer was established after Norway signed the Paris Agreement. We are facing ambitious goals. By 2030, Norway aims to cut its greenhouse gas emissions by at least 40 per cent, compared to the emission levels of 1990. By 2050, emissions must be cut to the levels that they no longer contribute to harmful global warming. At that point, we may call ourselves a low emission society.

    To reach this goal, we need measures that not only solve the challenges of climate change, but also ensure value creation. This is where Nysn\u00f8 enters the scene. <\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
