Nysn\u00f8 invests in the Norwegian EV charger company Amina<\/h1>\n\n\n

Stavanger 04.04.22 \u2013 Stavanger-based growth company Amina has developed a new and easier EV charger. The company has recently closed a funding round of NOK 87 million to rig the company for European scaling. Nysn\u00f8 Climate Investments is one of the investors that joins the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Easier and more affordable EV charger<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

\u2013 Amina was started with a vision to give everyone the opportunity for a greener everyday life. We saw a need in the market for a more affordable EV charger, which is more convenient both in use and installation, without compromising on quality. Smart charging is made possible via most electric cars today, allowing energy-intensive and expensive components to be removed from the charger. Amina makes it as easy to charge your car as your mobile phone, <\/em>says Eirik J\u00f8rgensen, founder of the company.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The company focuses on creating jobs and local ripple effects in Western Norway, and both design, engineering, and production take place in Norway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 The fact that the product has been developed and manufactured in Norway becomes a stamp of approval when we scale internationally,<\/em> says J\u00f8rgensen.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Uncomplicated EV charging<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the funding round, Amina has attracted a solid investor consortium consisting of Nysn\u00f8 Climate Investments AS, Eviny Ventures AS, Lyse Vekst AS, Momentum II AS, Investore Finans AS, Austinvest AS\/Futurum Utvikling AS, IKM Invest AS, and Velde Holding AS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 Electrification of the mobility sector is facing major changes and is an important contributor to the green transition. Norway has taken a leading role in the adoption of electric vehicles, but in an international perspective we are in the initial phase,<\/em> says John Egil Johannessen, Investment Manager at Nysn\u00f8 Climate Investments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 We find it exciting that Amina has international ambitions from day one and believe that the company\u2019s value proposition for convenient EV charging hits a nerve. With a forward-looking team with long experience in the industry, we believe that the company has what it takes to turn a solid product into profitable growth,<\/em> says Johannessen.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Expanding the team<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amina has an ambitious journey ahead and is now looking for the sharpest minds in the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
