New Nordic venture fund for technology and sustainability<\/h1>\n\n\n

Stavanger 2.6.2020 \u2013 Alliance Venture is a leading Nordic investor with a proven track-record from investing in tech-driven companies. Delta is the name of their fourth fund that has raised 600 NOK million. The fund will invest in companies with digital solutions for increased sustainability across sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The corona crisis has seen a surge in the use of digital tools to collaborate, share information and make decisions. Digitalization is also an important tool to reach Sustainable Development Goals \u2013 like increased resource efficiency, circular business models, greener energy, and sustainable consumer choices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 By reaching the Sustainable Development Goals we also reach climate goals \u2013 the IPCC reminds us that these targets are intrinsically linked. An estimated 5 \u2013 7 trillion USD is needed in annual investments. New funds like Alliance Delta Venture will strengthen early-stage ecosystems with new venture capital that has sustainability at the centre of their investment strategy,<\/em> says Siri Kalvig, CEO of Nysn\u00f8 Climate Investments.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The new fund Alliance Venture Delta will invest in companies that solve sustainability issues with digital solutions and business models. The investment focus will be Nordic technology growth companies and will strengthen their capital for international growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 We will look for talented teams that work with technologies in renewable energy, aquaculture, health, maritime sectors and fintech. The fund will invest if we see a positive contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals,<\/em> says Johan Gjesdahl, partner in Alliance Venture.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 The team in Alliance has international experience and a strong network, they create value by following their cases closely and provide competent capital for scaling,<\/em> says Lars Hvam, Investment Manager at Nysn\u00f8 Climate Investments.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Nysn\u00f8 Climate Investments will invest around 120 million NOK and is one of the largest investors in the fund together with the European Investment Fund (EIF), Swedish Saminvest and KLP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
