Closing the capital gap in the Nordic region
Investments in Norwegian early-stage companies are higher than ever. Nevertheless, growth companies find it difficult to raise capital for commercialisation. Sandwater will contribute to closing the capital gap in the Nordic region and secure new sources of capital that provide opportunities for sustainable innovation and technology development.
Sandwater was established in 2021 by a team with extensive industry experience. The company will provide experience, networks and venture capital to stimulate a growing Norwegian venture environment and strengthen investments in climate technology companies from the early stages to growth.
Investments with a sustainability agenda
Sandwater Fund I will invest in Nordic growth companies that contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and to selected Sustainable Development Goals, especially 7. Affordable and clean energy, 11. Sustainable cities and communities, 12. Responsible consumption and production and 13. Cimate action.
All investments should have a growth potential within the investment areas regenerate, improve and revitalise. This includes companies that solve challenges related to resource scarcity, greenhouse gas emissions, energy transformation, health and welfare.
