Digital infrastructure for the maritime fuel transition

Ofiniti is a Norwegian maritime software company spun out of DNV. Ofiniti’s platform FuelBoss digitises the planning, execution and documentation of bunkering operations, replacing manual, paper-based processes with real-time data that can be verified and trusted. This is becoming increasingly important as shipping adopts a broader and more complex fuel mix, including LNG, biofuels, methanol and ammonia.

The platform provides operators and value-chain stakeholders with a digital foundation for coordination, traceability and structured reporting. As regulations such as FuelEU Maritime and the EU ETS tighten, requirements for data quality and auditable documentation per delivery are increasing – covering, among other things, volume, composition and carbon intensity. Ofiniti also enables time savings in the bunkering operation, which translates into significant capacity and cost gains.

Ofiniti is headquartered in Oslo and holds a strong position in Singapore, the world’s largest digital bunkering market, where the company reports an approximately 40% market share. Ofiniti was spun out of DNV as an independent company in 2024. Nysnø is investing alongside DNV, ShipsFocus and Verb Ventures. This consortium provides strong industrial and financial backing and contributes an international network.
