AC electric vehicle chargers
Amina develops and manufactures AC EV chargers in Gjøvik, Norway, and sells them B2B to charge point operators and energy companies across Europe. The chargers serve residential charging, workplaces, and multi-unit residential buildings, with software from Amina’s partners adapting the same hardware to each specific use case. These are the locations where vehicles spend most of their time parked—and where the majority of all EV charging actually takes place.
The volume in EV charging lies in AC charging. For every fast charger installed along highways, many more charging points are needed where people live and work. Amina provides this infrastructure through standardized chargers that operators can deploy at scale across multiple markets. Rather than building software platforms itself, Amina works exclusively with software partners and remains focused on its core product: the charger. The chargers connect directly to the operators’ management platforms without cloud-based intermediaries, simplifying both installation and operation.
The market benefits from strong underlying growth as electric vehicles account for an increasing share of new car sales across Europe. Norway is a leading market and demonstrates the direction in which the rest of Europe is heading. Amina currently has offices in Denmark and the Netherlands and continues to expand as the market matures.
