Verdane Idun I

Fund for sustainable growth companies

The Verdane Idun I fund, established in 2021, is classified as a “fund with a sustainable investment objective” and aims to invest in ambitious technology companies that contribute to fulfilling the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. These investments will contribute to the development of solutions for sustainable communities, rapid and efficient energy transition, and more sustainable consumption.

Establishes one of Europe’s largest sustainability-focused growth funds

Verdane, the fund manager, has established what is now one of Europe’s largest sustainability-focused growth funds for technology-based companies. The fund will invest 300 million euros in European growth companies that meet financial criteria and have a positive, measurable impact on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Three focus areas for investments

Renewable energy, electrification, and decarbonization are crucial for reducing global greenhouse gas emissions and achieving net-zero by 2050. Additionally, we must reduce and streamline our consumption, and strengthen local communities through health, education, and welfare. By investing in technology for energy transformation, sustainable consumption, and sustainable communities, Verdane Idun I will contribute to direct and indirect reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
